What You Should Know About Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 is a soon to be released video game title from CD Projekt Red. They are best known for the Witcher series with the release of the Witcher 3 which won the game of the year award. This is no lightweight studio. Cd Projekt is the company also behind the game distribution service GoG (Good Old Games). It is a Polish owned video game company.
When cyberpunk 2077 was shown at e3 on the Xbox stage it was done so by no other than Keanu Reeves. He has done both voice acting and acting for the video game production, His image also appears in several game trailers in anticipation of a grand release.
Keanu plays a character called Johnny Silverhand, although he is dead in 2077, he still is an NPC who should be showing up from time to time in ghost form, if that’s even what they call them in 2077. When Keanu was on stage, he mentioned the ability to heavily customize the character.
OPEN WORLD/ROLE-PLAYING
The game takes place in Night City, which is an open world playing field. The character controlled by the game player, can go anywhere, and do anything. The character keeping in line with RPG’s systems have at least three classes. The Netrunner, Tecie or Solo, are the classes to choose from during character creation. The developers have stated that they want these classes to remain fluid in nature, in that you will be able to cross spec talent points.
Part of the gameplay involves guns, melee combat, and hacking of computers, electronics and even other players. Since the game takes place in the future a big portion of the game may end up revolving around Cybernetics. Quest rewards and boss drops may contain better Cybernetics to increase your power and skills during gameplay.
Cybernetics will play a role no matter if it stays true to the hinted at gameplay or not. All graphic and video representation shows most characters having circuits run through their faces and heads, along with mechanical arms and the like.
MULTIPLAYER
Multiplayer is in the works for the game, but most likely will not be available at launch. The developers have stated that multiplayer will be released after all the DLC (free DLC at that) has been released. In most cases that would probably be six months to a year after release.
RUMORS
Some have shared rumors that the game will come with a plus game mode which is enjoyable and drastically increases the re-playability of the game. Game plus allows the player to replay the game over again, but they will retain their skills and weapons from when they finished the game.
Some have called the game the highest anticipated game of 2020. Only time will tell, but gamers everywhere are keeping their hopes up. Check out the Cyberpunk 2077 price comparison to get more info on eventual prices for all the platforms (Ps4, Xbox and PC).
